What's the difference between solid gate and flexible wedge gate valves?
Solid gate uses a one-piece rigid wedge-best for stable, non-cycling service. Flexible wedge has a slit to absorb thermal stress-better for frequent thermal cycling. Choose solid gate for simplicity and robustness in steady conditions.

Can it be used for throttling?
No. Like all gate valves, it's designed for full open or full closed service only. Throttling causes vibration and seat erosion.

Is it fire-safe?
With metal seats and OS&Y rising stem, it meets basic fire-safe requirements. For certified fire testing (API 607), specify during ordering.

What materials are available?
Standard: ASTM A105, WCB, WCC. Optional: Stainless (CF8M), alloy steel (WC6/WC9), or NACE-compliant for sour service.

Do you provide test certificates?
Yes-hydrostatic shell and seat test reports per API 598 included with every valve.
